Vienna, 21 January 2019. Since the beginning of January 2019, the Third Market of the Vienna Stock Exchange has been reopened for Austrian small and medium-sized enterprises following a change in the German Stock Corporation Act. The new segments, "direct market" and "direct market plus", offer an excellent opportunity for start-ups and Austria's "Hidden Champions" to access the domestic capital market.
Wiener Privatbank advised all four newly listed companies in the "direct market plus" segment. The Bank also provides issuers with capital markets and local expertise.
Eduard Berger, Member of the Board of Wiener Privatbank, commented: "We are pleased to be in such a strong position right from the beginning, and that we are able to act as a listing partner. We fully support these exciting companies and are confident that these IPOs will have a positive impact on the Austrian market."
For years, Wiener Privatbank has been an important supporter of Austria's capital markets. The Bank works closely with the Vienna Stock Exchange. "We believe in these new market segments. This is a very important direction for the domestic capital market, and it supports the continued growth of Austrian SMEs and start-ups," added MMag. Dr. Helmut Hardt, Member of the Board of Wiener Privatbank.
